Glutathione Antioxidant Technology

CytoPro Glutathione EvenTone Face Cream contains L-reduced Glutathione which is known as the King /Superhero of antioxidants.  Glutathione is made from three amino acids – cysteine, glutamate, and glycine. Selenium is an essential mineral and a glutathione cofactor, which means selenium is a substance needed for glutathione activity. Thus, selenium helps to boost the action of Glutathione.

Superoxide dismutases (SODs) is an another important antioxidant defence against oxidative stress in the body. SODs catalyse dismutation/ reduction of  superoxide anion radical O₂^– to H₂O₂ and reduced Glutathione catalyzes the reduction of hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen. Leucojum Aestivum Bulb Extract helps to enhance production of Superoxide dismutase in skin.

Caution:

Reduced Glutathione (GSH) has a distinct aroma and in general has a “bad” smell because of its sulphur make up in spite of adding fragrance to the cream. In a way, it is an indication of strength of this active in the product.

Alpha lipoic acid may give rise to a very slight  burning or stinging sensation on skin for some people. However, this ingredient is a common addition to skin care products.
